Welcome to Kreuth am Tegernsee

The vacation home dates back to the 1950s (last renovated in 2026: bathroom and bedroom) and was always lovingly cared for by Grandma Anni. It was her small retreat to relax and enjoy the nature all around.

Kreuth am Tegernsee is one of the mountaineering villages in the Mangfall mountains. Directly in front of the house there are several Hikes an. Mountaineering villages are small communities in the Alpine region that have designed their development for gentle tourism and nature conservation. Experiencing nature is a priority, as are mountain sports, regional value creation and living customs.

Enjoy the tranquility, the dreamlike view on the surrounding mountains and the sun in the Garden of the house! After a hike you can cool your tired feet directly in front of the house with access to the Weißach or from there via the Weißachauweg walk to the beer garden. Also in winter the house is the perfect starting point for a round in the cross-country skiing trail. The house offers space in the most diverse bedrooms for up to 4 adults and 2 children.

Impressions

Equipment / Style

The living room, the so-called "Stube" in Bavarian style, offers space for getting together. A sofa, Smart TV, two large armchairs, a charming buffet cabinet and a stove provide a cozy atmosphere. Warmth and coziness. In the corner there is a "farm table" with bench and chairs and a small couch corner to relax.

The kitchen has been renovated and is equipped with everything you need: refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, 2-burner electric stove, oven, drip coffee maker, pod coffee maker, fully automatic coffee machine, kitchen utensils, dishes, and silverware, DAB radio.

Adjacent to the kitchen is the renovated bathroom with Washing machine, shower and WC.

All three bedrooms have been renovated and are located on the first floor of the house. The first bedroom offers a restful night's sleep in the Box-spring bed (180 x 200 cm) and a sink. The balcony faces the Weissach River and offers a view of the water and the surrounding greenery.

The middle bedroom has a Double bed (180 x 200 cm), closet, sink, and a balcony overlooking the garden and the surrounding mountains. Two single beds (190 x 100cm / 155 x 80cm) are located in the third bedroom. Ideal for children (crib rails and a high chair are available for the little ones).

The large garden offers plenty of space for socializing, dining, barbecuing (an electric grill is provided), playing, and soaking up the sun. You can safely store the bicycles you bring with you in a small, lockable wooden shed.

Approach / Location

From the house, you can explore any mountain on foot or by mountain bike and then take a refreshing dip in the nearby Weissach-Gumpen. A beautiful garden with seating and sun loungers extends the living space and is perfect for enjoyable barbecue evenings (electric grill provided).

If you arrive by train: take the Bayerische Regiobahn Oberland (BRB) from Munich main station to Tegernsee. Then from Tegernsee station continue by cab or RVO bus (lines 9556) to Kreuth (Riedlerbrücke stop). From there it is about a 7-minute walk to the vacation home at Weißachaustraße 25.
